Global Logistics and Distribution 102 – Students learn valuable skills designed to bolster their ability to build and guide successful teams and to communicate effectively with senior management. It is also designed to empower leaders to develop core logistics strategies and drive measurable results in highly integrated organizations. The course explores the main issues in international logistics (IL) and supply chain management. (SCM) underlining their strategic importance to the firms. It places IL and SCM in the context of international business and then looks at their core concepts. Focus will be on inventory management, international transportation, and international payment and information systems in a firm’s international operation.
Global Communications 103– Prepares students to enter professions in the communication field and to fortify an undergraduate education in fields of public relations, advertising, journalism, corporate communication, and media. Enrolled students gain valuable experience in a variety of contexts while establishing a broad foundation in communication theory translated to communication practice. Students who successfully complete the coursework for this program are provided with the critical thinking and analytical skills and diversity awareness needed to thrive as a communication professional.
Global Marketing 104 – Opportunities for international marketing professionals are expected to increase by as much as 20 percent through 2015. Students will learn the marketing process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational objectives. The Global Marketing certificate program is designed to prepare you to understand and apply marketing, sales and management principles in order to contribute to organizational success. Students will use analysis of potential market/s, available strategies for entry, and the decision-making and implementation of transnational marketing strategy and practice.
Global Finance 105 -An increase in the number of businesses, need for growth capital, changing financial laws and regulations, and increased scrutiny of company finances will spur the job growth of accountants and auditors. Increasingly, accountants also are assuming the role of a personal financial advisor. In response to market demand, these financial specialists will offer more financial management and consulting services as they take on a greater advisory role. In addition to openings resulting from growth, the need to replace accountants and auditors who retire or transfer to other occupations will produce numerous job openings. Students will discuss the purposes, development and financial centers of the international capital market.
